AFRICAN VOICES PLATFORM (AVP)

CURATING AND DELIVERING AUTHENTIC AFRICAN ORIENTED CONTENT

African Voices Platform (AVP) is a South Yorkshire based independent media production organisation.

Our flagship television show airs across the Sheffield City Region on Sheffield Live TV, twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8:05 pm. We attract a television viewership of between 35,000 and 40, 000 viewers weekly from the Sheffield City Region.

All episodes including dedicated COVID-19 interviews are available to watch from anywhere in the world on our YouTube channel and this website one hour after being televised

We curate and deliver content that is informative, educational and empowering by authentically portraying African communities on the African continent and in diaspora

From Baillor Jalloh, founding CEO

Our core work aims to improve visibility, media freedom and original content developed with and for the African community and other minoritised groups. We envision becoming a podium that Africans both at home and abroad can exploit to tell their own stories through media instruments such as TV, radio and the traditional African story telling (griot)
