Guinea among six other nations at UK-Francophone Africa forum

By Baillor Jalloh

Following last year's success of the UK-Franco West and Central Africa summit in London, on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th October, 2023, seven senior government ministers and leading business executives met with UK companies and investors to advance partnerships that promote economic-growth and jobs.

Organised by UK Export Finance (UKEF) – the UK’s export credit agency – and DMA Invest, the Forum brought together delegates from Guinea, Senegal, Togo, Cameroon, Bennin, Ivory Coast and the Democratic Republic of Congo to discuss new trade and investment opportunities with their UK counterparts. The aim is to foster close economic ties and diplomatic relations between the UK and Francophone markets on the continent of Africa. Ismael Nabe, Adviser to Guinea's Prime Minister on investment and John Marshall, UK Ambassador to Guinea spoke to African Voices Platform after the event.
