Inauguration of UK-Francophone, West and Central Africa trade and investment forum

The first ever UK-Francophone West and Central Africa Trade and Investment Forum was held in London on Wednesday, 19th October, 2022. Organisers described the event as a huge success with hundreds of delegates and business leaders in attendance and deals worth nearly £200 million pounds were announced.

The event’s aim was to show UK investors that Francophone Africa is open for business and showcase the wealth of opportunities available in many French speaking African countries. Baillor Jalloh was present at the forum and spoke to various delegates including those from Guinea, Togo and the UK trade commissioner for Africa, John Humphrey.
