Sheffield University Launches New Hub to Support Minority Students
The University of Sheffield has launched a new hub that will work with local organisations to tackle institutional racism by providing support to postgraduate students of colour. The Centre for Equity & Inclusion will seek to enhance the university experience for PGR's of colour, whilst challenging racism and other systems of power within and beyond the institution.
The Centre has partnered with African Voices Platform, MA Consultancy, SADACCA, Migration Matters, Adoptee Futures, Eelyn Lee, RosaCenCis, SHARE, The Lit Collective and WOC Azadi Collective. Dr. Alex Rajiner Mason, Dr. Munda Abdi and Dr. Seth Mehl spoke to AVP more about the project.
