Angolans set for the polls in a tight Presidential race

Ahead of Angola's tight presidential election race on 24th August, we spoke to the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights Adviser for the National Directorate for Extrajudicial Dispute Resolution, Jose da Silva for an analysis on the two main candidates and the landscape for voters.

The two-horse race is between incumbent João Lourenço from the Movimento Popular de Libertação de Angola (MPLA) who is seeking a second term, and the opposition's charismatic Adalberto Costa Júnior, who is leading the União Nacional para a Independência Total de Angola (UNITA).
