HawaDal – A Leeds based FGM charity wins Queen’s Award

HawaDal Peace of Mind, a Leeds based charity which supports victims of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and forced marriages was one of several organisations in the region to be recognised for voluntary services. On being awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, founder Hawa spoke to African Voices Platform about her delight, the work and challenges facing the charity.
