Public support grows for rail workers

On Saturday, hundreds of people took part in a rally in Sheffield city centre, to stand in solidarity with rail workers. The rally, organised by the Rail Maritime Union workers, aimed at highlighting the ongoing dispute between rail workers and employer, Network Rail. On Thursday and Saturday, half of UK’s train services were on halt as over 45,000 train employees walked out in a row over pay, jobs and conditions. Juliana Ojinnaka, one of the people who took part in the rally spoke to AVP, reporter Baillor Jalloh on why she attended.
